About Tara
A proud alumna of James Madison University, I originally hail from Delaware. After earning my MBA from Wilmington University, I married my college sweetheart, Brett, and we settled in Damascus, Maryland, where we now live with our two children, and my horse, Shotgun.
My journey into real estate began through a creative lens. In 2009, I launched a professional photography business and later worked in marketing and photography for a custom home builder in Delaware. It didn’t take long for me to realize how much I loved everything about real estate — from touring homes to late-night browsing on housing sites (and yes, more than a few hours of HGTV).
That passion led me to make a full transition into real estate, where I now combine my creative background, business education, and strong communication skills to help buyers and sellers navigate one of the most important decisions of their lives.
I pride myself on being reliable, organized, honest, and completely hands-on every step of the way. I don’t delegate the critical work to assistants. I build real relationships and take care of every client like family. I especially love working with first-time buyers, but I also enjoy helping sellers, upsizers, downsizers, and everyone in between.
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me at the barn with Shotgun, tending to my flower beds, or enjoying time with my family and friends here in Montgomery County.

Founded over 30 years ago by the late Louis Peter Calomeris, the firm continues to operate from a charming historic duplex built in 1890 — a true part of Frederick’s character.
